Here is a video from the Bank of Costa Rica: Repretel.com - Parte de tu Vida. They will start issuing new series of banknotes in may 2010. The notes will be printed in France (by Oberthur Technologies I guess). The 1000 colones note will be printed on polymer. They did not say what the other notes will be printed on, I assume it will be paper.
