Derartige State (Quarter) Serien scheinen Schule zu machen. Das erste Land war meines Wissens nach Kanada. Inzwischen gibt es auch noch Australien (50 Cents Stücke). Russland bringt sowas ähnliches, nämlich eine Serie Bi-Metall Münzen "alte russische Städte" heraus. Dabei wird es aber sicher nicht bleiben.
Kommt eigentlich jemand eigentlich an die Polen ran?
Habe einen guten Freund in Koszalin der mir die Neuausgaben der 2 ZL
Münzen immer schickt. Dieser hat aber keinen PC und keine EMail.
Wenn größerer Bedarf bestehen sollte würde ich dort mal anfragen.

Das wäre schön, wenn Du die für mich erstmal mit sammeln könntest. Wir müssen ja nicht jede einzelne verschicken. Kann Dir vielleicht auch etwas im Tausch anbieten.
Ich wollte noch mitteilen, dass die letzten Jahrgänge aus Malaysia und Brunei unterschiedliche Schrifttypen (Dicke und Art) aufweisen. Bisher unterscheidet der KM dies noch nicht, aber die Vergangenheit hat gezeigt, dass solche Unterschiede teilweise erst nach Jahren als unterschiedliche Typen erkannt und in den Katalog aufgenommen werden.
So,- habe jetzt Post aus Polen mit einer neuen 2 Zl.Münze 2004.
Ich glaube im Kleinen mit 1 bis 5 Münzen hat das keinen Sinn. Da er für den Brief mit einer 2 Zl. Münze schon 3 Zl. Porto bezahlen muß.
Bei mehreren Münzen müßte er auch den Brief per Einschreiben schicken.
Somit sind die bei ebay für 1 Euro doch sicherer.
Habe aber einige bfr. 2 Zl. Münzen von 2002 mehrfach.

In den Mitteilungen der Tschechischen Nationalbank wird eine Remineszens an einen deutschen (?) Autohersteller veröffentlicht.
Haben wir lange drauf gewartet. Endlich.

Es werden welche Muenzen noch 2005 kommen.
Die Polnische Nationalbank gibt diese Serie von 16 Muenzen seit 2003 aus.
Ausserdem gibt es noch andere Muenzen-Serien: Koenige, Tiere, "Bekannte" Menschen, am 26 April soll Erweiterung der EU rauskommen. Die Muenzen mit dem Nominal 2 zl sind theoretisch Umlauf muenzen ich glaube aber dass sie mangels Bekanntheit nicht angenommen werden. Man kann sie mit etwas Glueck bei der Nationalbank zum normalen Preis (also 2 zl = ca. 40 ct. kaufen) oder bei Muenzhaendlern etwas teurer. Ausserdem gibt es ganze Menge von richtigen Gedenkmuenzen (Silber, Gold 10 zl, 200 zl) die sind teurer.
Ach so die 2 zl sind meist aus Nordic Gold (wie 10 - 50 ct in der Eurozone) seltener bimetalisch.

Ganz aktuell aus Bulgarien erreichte mich die neue 50 Stotinki Münze aus Bulgarien mit dem Thema "w Nato 2004" (Nato Beitritt 2004).

The figure "50" and the year of issue "2004" are shown on the face of the coin. The text "stotinki" (стотинки) is inscribed on the lower side of the coin. The upper side of the coin features the 12 stars of the European Union inscribed along the periphery of the coin.
The reverse of the coin features the standing lion from the shield in the coat of arms of the Republic of Bulgaria on the background of the monument in front of the NATO building in Brussels. On the upper side, in circumference along the periphery, there is the text BULGARIA (БЪЛГАРИЯ), and underneath - the inscription 'IN NATO 2004' (В НАТО 2004)."
Nachdem hier die polnischen Wojewodschaften als Umlaufmünzen untergebracht wurden, verdient vielleicht auch die Serie "Alte russische Städte" einen Platz in dieser Rubrik. Die Bank nennt sie zwar Commemoratives / Sonderprägungen, und man kann sie gegen Aufpreis in Pappe in Petersburg im Münzhof kaufen. Ich hab sie aber auch im Portemonnaie einer Lehrerin und in der Kleingeldablage eines Taxifahrers umgelaufen gesehen. Bei einem Nominal von 10 Rubeln / ca. 30 Cents und einer Auflage von 5 Millionen eigentlich kein Wunder. Und so sehen sie aus, die bisher herausgekommen sind:

alle bisher erschienenen State(hood) Quarters in UNZirkuliertem Zustand.
Auch 2 versch. Sammler Album/Folder sind vorhanden.
Würde diese gegen Deutschland oder Niederlande sets tauschen oder günstig (für 0.79 Euro Cent !!!) pro Stück abgeben.

Nach längerer zeit habe ich mal wieder eine neue münze anzukündigen:
Südafrika gibt seit Dienstag, den 27/07 einen neue bimetall 5 rand münze aus.
Hier die Meldung:
"The South African Reserve Bank (SARB) today launched a bi-metal R5 coin. The new R5 coin will be in circulation from Monday, 2 August 2004. The coin has a bronze-coloured centre and a silver-coloured border.
The bi-metal R5 coin has distinct security features, which will make it easier for the public to distinguish between good coins and counterfeit coins. The South African Reserve Bank encourages all South Africans to familiarise themselves with these security features.
The bi-metal R5 coin's circumference is the same as that of the present coin, but the new coin is slightly heavier and thicker. The new bi-metal coin has the coat of arms on the one side and an image of the Black Wildebeest or Gnu on the reverse. These also appear on the design of the current coins.
Security features on the bi-metal R5 coin will include a security groove on the rim of the coin; serrations on both sides of the security groove; "SARB R5" engraved into the security groove and micro-lettering depicting "SARB" on the reverse side of the coin.
The new coin does not replace the current, silver-coloured R5 coin which will remain legal tender and will stay in circulation, alongside the new coin. The public will not have to exchange their old coins. In fact, they should beware of anyone who offers to change the current R5 coins for new coins.
Over time, the current R5 coins will gradually phase out of circulation.
"It is the South African Reserve Bank's responsibility to ensure the credibility and integrity of our currency and to ensure public confidence in our country's money," states Mr Mboweni.
"Security features on money are only reliable if people use them, so everybody should get to know their money," says Mr TT Mboweni, Governor of the South African Reserve Bank.
The security features on the new bi-metal coins will further help to address the problem of counterfeiting. However, the South African Reserve Bank emphasises that the public should not only familiarise themselves with the look and feel of the new bi-metal R5 coin, but should make sure they know all South African currency.
Mr Mboweni says, "Don't just handle money without thinking. Concentrate on what it looks and feels like. If someone gets to know their money and looks at the detail, he or she is more likely to realise if something is wrong. As people admire the new R5 coins, they should look for all the security features. In fact, they should do the same with all coins and notes. That's the best way to get to know your money and to protect yourself."

" 2004-07-27: Reserve Bank celebrates democracy
The South African Reserve Bank is issuing a special commemorative R2 coin, celebrating 10 years of democracy in South Africa.
Instead of the well-known image of the Kudu normally found on existing R2 coins, the commemorative coin will feature the "10 years of freedom" logo, depicting people carrying the South African Flag in line to vote. The logo carries the wording, '10 YEARS OF FREEDOM - South Africa 1994 - 2004'. The commemorative R2 coin will become legal tender on 1 August 2004.
In addition to the "10 years of freedom" logo, the commemorative R2 coin will also feature the South African Coat of Arms which came into use in 2000.
The motto on the Coat of the Arms, "!ke e: /xarra //ke", is written in the Khoisan language and literally means "diverse people unite". Symbols from the Coat of Arms include two human figures from Khoisan rock art facing each other in greeting and unity; the secretary bird in flight, symbolising growth and speed and the rising sun symbolising the promise of rebirth.
Other recent commemorative coins issued by the South African Reserve Bank included a coin to celebrate South Africa hosting the Cricket World Cup in 2003 and another to commemorate the World Summit on Sustainable Development which took place in South Africa, also in 2003.
