The Malta Coins Distribution Centre will be issuing three €2 commemorative coins during 2015. As rightly mentioned by yourself, the Republic of Malta will be the fifth coin in a series of five commemorating Malta’s Constitutional History. Moreover, <DD>we will be issuing another €2 to commemorate the hundred years from the first flight from Malta. <DD>The third one will be a ‘’common’’ one ... commemorating the 30 years from the European Union flag, but I’m afraid we do not have any details regarding this.

The first page of Malta’s aviation history was written on 13 February 1915 when a Short Seaplane Type 135 No 136 performed its first flight in Malta taking off from the surface of the Grand Harbour waters.
