A rare collector's item from Mint of Finland
The Ministry of Finance dedicates this year's only gold coin to the Diet of 1863, which marked the beginning of regular meetings of the Diet and democracy in Finland. The gold coin will be published on 17 September 2013.
6,000 gold coins, with a nominal value of €100, will be minted and sold in two kinds of packages. 200 numbered gold coins are packed in unique collector's boxes together with a special €2 coin of proof quality commemorating the 1863 Diet. These gold coins have a sequential number stamped on the edge.

5,800 gold coins are packed in elegant boxes and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. These unnumbered gold coins can be purchased from 17 September 2013 from the Mint of Finland webstore.
