'From Children in Solidarity - Malta Coin Collection', is a special limited numismatic product of 500 pieces, which includes a numbered certificate and contains all five 'From Children in Solidarity' €2 coins issued by the Malta Coin Centre from 2016 to 2020.
Way back in 2016, a campaign was launched by the Central Bank of Malta, in collaboration with the Ministry for Education and Employment and the Office of the President of Malta on behalf of the Malta Community Chest Fund Foundation which consisted of a coin design competition for students in all secondary, higher secondary schools and MCAST.
The competition required children to submit art designs for five €2 commemorative coins to be issued under the programme entitled 'From Children in Solidarity'. The coin programme consisted of the five winning designs and the themes were: 'LOVE' 'PEACE' 'CULTURAL HERITAGE' 'NATURE & ENVIRONMENT and 'GAMES'.
Proceeds from the five coins issued were donated to the 'Malta Community Chest Fund'.
The price of this limited numismatic product is €50.
