Heutige Pressemitteilung der slowakischer Nationalbank:
The Bank Board took note of the results of the public competition for the design of a €10 silver collector coin featuring the spontaneous, non-violent civic resistance to the Warsaw Pact invasion in August 1968 and did not approve any of the submitted designs. In reaching its decision, the Bank Board noted that several members of the judging committee had assessed the submitted designs to be artistically inadequate. No first and second prizes were awarded in the competition.

4. Coin set: 100th anniversary of the establishment of the Czechoslovak Republic
Motif of the set focuses on the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the Czechoslovak Republic in 1918.
Mintage: 2000 pcs, SU (Special Uncirculated)
Expected issue date: September 2018

5. Coin set: UNESCO World Heritage in Slovakia – Wooden Churches
The 6th coin set of the ******* UNESCO World Heritage in Slovakia, focuses on the Wooden Churches.

Danke! Ich habe gerade mal nachgesehen - die für die Rückseite geplante Szene ist tatsächlich recht bekannt. Sie basiert auf einem Foto von Ladislav (Laco) Bielik, und der Mann, der sich dem Panzer entgegenstellte, war Emil Gallo. Das Motiv gefällt mir besser als der andere 3. Preis, denn durch das Bild aus Bratislava ergibt sich ein unmittelbarer Slowakei-Bezug. Bei der Landkarte dagegen würde ich mich sofort fragen, ob die Beschränkung auf die Slowakei im Hinblick auf die Ereignisse von 1968 sinnvoll wäre ...
