OCCASIONAL COINS ISSUED BY THE REPUBLIC OF SLOVENIA
Slovenia will mark the following events in 2017 by issuing occasional coins:
10th anniversary of the Introduction of the euro in Slovenia (
commemorative €2 coin)
Minted: 1 million coins (total quantity of BU and proof quality). It is foreseen that Banka Slovenije will release the commemorative coin into circulation in the 1st quarter of 2017.
100th anniversary of the May Declaration (collector coins)

Purity: Au 900/1000
Minted: 1,000 coins
Silver coin
Nominal value: EUR 30
Weight: 15 g
Diameter: 32 mm

Alloy: centre – 75 Cu 25 Ni

Banka Slovenije envisages the release of the collector coins for sale and circulation in the 2nd quarter of 2017; the exact date will be stipulated by the Regulation on the issue of collector coins for sale and circulation, which will be published in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia.
BANKA SLOVENIJE NUMISMATIC EDITIONS
In the 2nd quarter of 2017 Banka Slovenije intends to release a
collection of euro coins (8,000 pieces BU and 1,000 pieces proof quality) with a minting year of 2017 covering all the euro circulation coin denominations with a Slovenian national obverse, the €2 commemorative coin issued to mark the 10th anniversary of Introduction of the euro in Slovenia and the €3 bi-coloured collector coin issued to mark 100th anniversary of the May Declaration.
Banka Slovenije will also prepare a small quantity of
proof quality occasional coins in plastic capsules as follows:
2,500 pieces of €2 commemorative coin and
1,500 pieces of €3 bi-coloured collector coin.
The Slovenian occasional coins and Banka Slovenije numismatic editions will be on sale at Banka Slovenije and at Deželna banka Slovenije (Banka Slovenije`s authorized agent).
