Dear Friends,
Forgive me for writing in English, but I don't think that my knowledge in the German language is sufficient in this context …
The story is: In the middle of the sixties, when I was 14–15 years old, I found a medallion on an small islet in a lake in central Värmland, Sweden. The purpose with the medallion is obviously to commemorate meetings between Hitler and Mussolini, and has the text "Mussolini – Hitler. Stats-Treffen Berlin – Rom, IX 1937, V 1938".
I have tried to get information on the Internet, but it is difficult to get to the details. I wonder for example: What was the circulation, i.e., in how many copies was the medallion produced? Was it available for everyman or was it used to honorate people for their achievements in different areas? (And how did it find its way to Sweden …). And other things that can bring light to this matter, e.g. sources.
I would be most grateful for any information on this topic.
Yours sincerely
Jan Lind
