Hab' dann vor kurzem mal dort angerufen (Flatrate sei Dank ) und erfahren, was mein "Problem" ist: Meine Anschrift, also Billing Address, ist in Deutschland, die Lieferanschrift (Shipping Address) ist in den USA. Und das kann oder will die US Mint offenbar seit einiger Zeit nicht mehr bearbeiten.
Diese Aussage ist definitiv falsch.
Letztes Jahr wurden von mir auch 3 Bestellversuche einfach gecancelt (September / Oktober).
Dieses Jahr habe ich bereits 3 mal erfolgreich mit USA Lieferanschrift und deutscher Rechnungsanschrift bestellt und es wurde auch geliefert. Wenn ich mich recht erinnere wurde allerdings 1 (vierte) Bestellung auch mal gestrichen.
In USA gibt es massive Beschwerden über PBGS (Pitney Bowes Goverment Solutions), das ist die Firma die seit Ende letzten Jahres die gesamte Logistik für die Mint übernimmt. Da wird auch häufiger über gestrichene Orders berichtet, hier mal eine Kostprobe:
Tonight I check my email and I have one from the US Mint. My order from April 3rd has been cancelled! Some sort of credit card issue, yet this card seems to have no problems anywhere else that I use it.
So now I'm angry. This order contains Braille dollars and now I've lost my place in line! I'm in Oregon, it's still early, so I call the Mint (PBGS). Just got off the phone with them actually.
Here's what I was told. They couldn't REALLY tell me why my card was declined. Maybe it was expired she said. I said no, that is still two years away. Anyway Let's place the order again, however I've lost my place in line.
So we place the order. I made her repeat multiple times the items, qty, shipping info, and card info. If this order is screwed up again, I know exactly who to blame. She tells me how the order will ship. Clair, I hate to spin you up but....not expedited. I asked her why, it's a silver order after-all, mentioned the FAQ even, she puts me on hold to check. She comes back, the Braille dollars do not qualify for the expedited shipping, these aren't the same as other silver coins apparently. I ask how's that and she doesn't really know.
So I'm thinking do I make a fuss? Demand to speak to a supervisor? In the end I said **** IT (guess what the stars mean). I've waited this long, and honestly, I don't believe that speaking with a supervisor or any other person there will get any different results, so I give up. The Mint and PBGS in this case hold all cards because they are the only game in town. That's sad, but true and I have better things to do with my anger then focus it on these nimrods.
Mein Verdacht ist übrigens auch, daß die Streichungen was mit der Kreditkarte zu tun haben - was auch immer ...
